Education is a key centerpiece in Weyburn, with two school boards administering five well-equipped and staffed elementary schools, two junior high schools, an independent school, and the Weyburn Comprehensive High School that attracts students from a wide area for a full range of academic and vocational educational opportunities.

The Southeast Regional College offers a wide range of industry-driven vocational training programs, as well as the first two years of university in affiliation with Saskatchewan's two university campuses. Specialized in-house training exists through the various health-care centers and at the SaskPower Training Centre.
